If a player leaves the game, his hero will be killed and no more units will spawn at his point for the followings waves. The health of any enemy unit will be set to the values it should be at the difficulty level of the remaing players. E.g: The Broodmother normally has 120000 health points. This value will be set playing with 4 players. Playing with 3 players this value will be set to 90000. Also some spells won't trigger fighting the broodmother, playing with less than 4 players.
How does Goblin Shops work?
The Goblin Shops do sell recipes only. Picking a recipe wil lead to nothing unless your hero hasn't the required items in inventory. E.g: You buy the buy the Bloodthirster Recipe. Unless your hero hasn't 2 Iron Hammers and a Great Helthpotion in his inventory, you will still be the proud owner of a recipe, that does nothing. As soon as you have the required items (2x Iron Hammer + 1x Great Healthpotion) in your inventory, picking the recipe again will transform the recipe and all required items into the effective item. That means instead of owning the recipe, 2x Iron Hammer and a Great healthpotion, you will now own a Bloodthirster, that gives 250 damage and 10% lifeleech. Note: This concerns Ogre Gloves, Elven Boots and Mage's Capes. Picking every item will transform them into a Ruby. There is no option to fragment a Ruby, so be careful if you pick one of those and don't want them to become a ruby. Better drop one of those items first, create the one you were going to and pick the dropped one again.
